Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 2026

1. Our commitment

Clarion Equestrian Ltd works with Riding for the Disabled groups, riding schools and equestrian charities. Many of the people our clients support have disabilities or access needs themselves. We take accessibility on this site seriously, and we work to make it usable for as many people as possible.

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). This is the standard most UK public-sector sites are required to meet, and the standard we try to apply to our own client builds.

2. What we've done

On this website we have:

  • Used semantic HTML headings, landmarks and form labels so screen readers can navigate the page properly;
  • Provided a “skip to main content” link at the top of each page for keyboard users;
  • Made sure interactive elements have visible focus styles when navigating by keyboard;
  • Chosen text and background colours that aim to meet the AA contrast threshold;
  • Provided text alternatives for meaningful images;
  • Honoured the operating system “reduce motion” preference, so animations and smooth scrolling are turned off when you've asked for that;
  • Built the site to work without JavaScript for its core information and contact form;
  • Used responsive layouts that work on phones, tablets, laptops and larger screens, and that respect browser text-zoom up to at least 200%.

3. Where we may fall short

We try to be honest about gaps rather than claim full compliance. Areas we are still working on or aware may not yet fully meet AA include:

  • Some decorative or background images may not yet have ideal contrast against overlaid text on every viewport size;
  • Form error messages currently render on a separate page rather than inline beneath the relevant field;
  • The mobile menu uses a simple show/hide pattern that may not announce its open/closed state to all assistive technologies;
  • Some third-party content (for example, embedded fonts) is loaded from external services we do not control.

This page is a working statement. We update it as we fix issues and as the site grows.

4. Using assistive technology

If you use a screen reader, voice control, switch access, magnification or any other assistive technology and something on this site doesn't work for you, we would like to know. Please contact us using the details below.

You can also adjust many things from your own device — for example, increasing text size in your browser, turning on high contrast in your operating system, or switching on “reduce motion”. This site is built to respect those settings rather than override them.

5. Reporting a problem

If you find anything on this site that is difficult or impossible to use, please tell us. We will do our best to respond within five working days and to fix the issue or explain what we can do.

Email: hello@clarionequestrian.com

Please include the page address and a short description of the problem, including the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using if you are comfortable sharing that.

6. Enforcement

If you contact us about an accessibility problem and are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which is the UK body responsible for enforcing the accessibility regulations.

7. About this statement

This statement applies to content published on https://clarionequestrian.com. It does not cover separate platforms we may recommend or set up for clients (such as booking systems or payment providers), which have their own accessibility statements.

This statement was prepared in June 2026 based on a self-assessment of the site against WCAG 2.2 AA. It is not a substitute for a full third-party audit.
